The Sacramento Kings are actively considering a move for Jonathan Kuminga, a forward and restricted free agent with the Golden State Warriors, as reported by Matt George of ABC 10 in Sacramento.
While the Kings have shown a willingness to include Malik Monk in trade discussions, George points out that Monk is unlikely to be part of any potential deal for Kuminga, primarily due to the Warriors’ lack of interest in the veteran guard.
Sources indicate that the Kings are looking at packages that could involve guard Devin Carter and forward Dario Saric, along with draft picks, in a sign-and-trade deal for Kuminga. To enhance their offer, Sacramento might combine this potential trade with the expected Saric/Jonas Valanciunas swap with the Denver Nuggets, allowing them to present a more lucrative contract to Kuminga.
However, as Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports, there is currently no imminent deal. Discussions involving Kuminga remain active between the Warriors and several teams, suggesting that the situation is still fluid as the free agency period continues.
