Chicago Mass Shooting Leaves 4 Dead, 14 Injured

A tragic mass shooting in Chicago on Wednesday night has left four people dead and 14 others injured, according to police reports. The incident took place in the River North neighborhood, specifically on the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue, where a gunman opened fire on a crowd gathered outside Artis Restaurant and Lounge during an album release party for rapper Mello Buckzz.

The assailant, or assailants, reportedly arrived in a vehicle which sped away immediately after the shooting, leaving law enforcement with no suspects in custody. Among the deceased are two men and two women, while at least 14 individuals sustained injuries, three of whom are in critical condition. The victims predominantly range in age from their 20s to 30s.

As authorities continue their investigation, further information regarding the shooting has yet to be disclosed. According to crime statistics, Chicago has seen a 32% decrease in murders and a 39% drop in shooting incidents as of June 29 this year.
