Rivian has released preliminary figures for electric vehicle production and customer deliveries for the third quarter of 2025, demonstrating strong performance ahead of its full financial report anticipated next month.

During the Q2 2025 earnings report in August, Rivian ($RIVN) faced significant challenges, particularly with battery electric vehicle (BEV) production, which decreased sharply from 14,611 vehicles in Q1 to just 5,979 in Q2. However, deliveries rose significantly to 10,661 from 8,640 in the previous quarter.

The company attributed the production slump to a mix of supply chain challenges that were, in part, influenced by changes in trade policy. Nevertheless, Rivian remained optimistic about its delivery targets for 2025, hoping for improved results in Q3.

Today, Rivian revealed that both production and delivery figures for Q3 have increased, keeping the auto manufacturer on track with its annual goals. In total, Rivian reported producing 10,720 vehicles at its plant in Normal, Illinois, while deliveries reached 13,201—exceeding expectations of 12,955 by 246 units.

Looking ahead to Q4, the company has refined its annual delivery forecast to between 41,500 and 43,500 BEVs. Rivian will share its complete financial results for Q3 after the market closes on November 4, 2025, and it plans to host an audio webcast at 5:00 PM ET to discuss the details.
